This month, Café the Plaza is bringing a slice of the Netherlands to Aruba with our special Dutch Night! On Thursday, March 27th, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, we invite you to immerse yourself in an evening of rich flavors and Dutch tradition, all for just $35 per person.

• Traditional Dutch Pea Soup (Erwtensoep) – A warm and comforting split pea soup, thick and hearty, just like it's enjoyed in the Netherlands.
• Herring on Rye Bread – A Dutch delicacy served with fresh onions for a burst of flavor.
  

Main Course

• Stamppot Trio with Smoked Sausage – A beloved Dutch classic featuring three hearty mashed potato dishes, each with its own distinct flavor. The Boerenkool mash combines potatoes and kale for a rich and savory taste, while the Hutspot offers a smooth, comforting blend of potatoes, carrots, and onions. For a bold twist, the Zuurkool mash brings in the tang of sauerkraut. All of these are served with smoked sausage, creating the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
• Limburg-style Sweet and Sour Stew – A traditional dish from the south of the Netherlands, slow-cooked to perfection. This tender, flavorful stew is accompanied by red beets, potatoes, and a rich, savory gravy, offering a deeply satisfying and authentic experience.
